Why We Created The WRW Main Event Series

When Becca and I first started planning Walk Run Wrestle, there were always two ideas on the table. The first became what you know today as the Legends Series. Challenges inspired by wrestling's biggest characters, complete them your way, earn a medal that tells a story and move on to your next adventure. But there was always a second idea. An idea that felt bigger. An idea that felt more like an event than a challenge. That idea became the Main Event Series.
From day one, we knew we wanted to create challenges that were tied to real wrestling pay-per-views and the cities that hosted them. Not just a medal inspired by wrestling, but a complete experience built around a specific place and moment in wrestling history. The city became just as important as the event itself. The medal design. The route inside the app. The landmarks you pass. The stories you discover along the way. Everything starts with the location.
We wanted participants to feel like they were exploring a city rather than simply watching a progress bar fill up. The Main Event Series is also designed differently from anything else we offer. The total distance is revealed before the event launches and is divided equally across all 30 days. Complete a stage and you unlock the next one. Miss a day and the challenge simply waits for you. There are no penalties. No pressure. No need to start again. But there is one important rule. You can't skip ahead.
If a stage is 2K, then that stage is 2K. You can't miss three days and power through 6K to catch up. That was a deliberate choice. The Main Event Series was never designed to be about speed. It's about consistency. It's about building a habit. It's about showing up and making progress, one stage at a time. Some people will complete all 30 stages in 30 days and have their challenge finished before the pay-per-view even airs. Others might take longer. Both are perfectly fine. The goal isn't to be first. The goal is to finish.
Along the way you'll unlock digital collectibles inside the app, including exclusive event cards and a championship belt that can be displayed inside your WRW collection. And once all 30 stages are complete, you'll earn the physical medal waiting at the end of the journey. One of the things we're most excited about is how collectible the Main Event Series will become over time.
The Legends Series is designed to be available for longer periods, giving people plenty of opportunity to take part. The Main Event Series is different. Each challenge is tied to a specific pay-per-view and a specific year. Once that event has passed and the medals are gone, that's it. No reruns. No re-releases. No second batch. Just like the event itself, that moment only happens once. For us, that's what makes the series special.
You're not just collecting a medal. You're collecting a moment in time. This year marks the beginning of that journey with our first Main Event challenge. And honestly? We're excited to finally share something that has been part of the WRW plan since the very beginning.
Your Run. Your Way.
Where running meets wrestling.
