The Medal

One of the hardest parts of bringing Walk Run Wrestle back to life was finding the right medal supplier. It took us about five weeks of searching, messaging, and emailing before we finally found the perfect fit. We started with UK suppliers, but nothing worked. Some simply couldn’t make what we wanted, while others were completely out of budget — one even quoted £20,000 for 100 medals.

It was frustrating, but we knew compromising wasn’t an option. From the start, we had clear requirements: the medal had to be a custom shape, the size had to be right, and the colours had to be vibrant. Anything less wouldn’t feel like the reward we envisioned.

Because nothing in the UK worked, we expanded our search to suppliers overseas. At first, the time difference made communication tricky, but slowly we found companies that could actually understand our vision. After weeks of talking to many suppliers, we settled on one who was patient, understanding, and really grasped what we were after. We now have a single point of contact who is fantastic — always replying fast, answering questions, and even suggesting ways to make our ideas better. We didn’t realize how many steps were involved, like a custom mold for each design. Now it seems obvious, but back then it never crossed our minds.

When we finally found the right supplier, the feeling was incredible. Relief, excitement, pride — all the hard work had paid off. Looking at what other companies were producing, we knew we needed high quality custom medals. Our supplier can also do glow-in-the-dark, glitter, and so much more — so we’re really excited about what’s coming in the future. Finding our supplier was a massive breakthrough that unlocked the key to making Walk Run Wrestle truly real. And honestly, when we got that first crazy UK quote, all we could do was laugh — it made us even more certain we’d made the right choice
