The day we went live

In March 2026, after years of planning, learning, rebuilding, and figuring things out the hard way, we finally launched Walk Run Wrestle. By the time we went live, everything was ready. The medals were in hand — real, heavy, exactly how we imagined back in 2017. Not mock-ups. Not ideas. Real products. Becca and I sat down with a coffee, staring at the screen. We’d checked everything more times than we can count — the website, the apps, the checkout, the emails… all of it. Then came the moment. We pressed “Go Live.” And then… nothing. No fireworks. No instant sales. Just silence. That’s the bit no one really talks about. You build something for months, put money into it, spend hours learning things you never thought you’d need to know… and when it finally launches, the world doesn’t suddenly stop and notice. It just carries on. Before launch, we’d run a three-week campaign. Brand new pages, zero followers, no audience. We were posting every day — Facebook, Instagram, TikTok — just trying to get eyes on it. Slowly, things started to move. A few followers here. A few likes there. Website visits ticking up. Then came the first sale. Not a flood. Just one. But that one meant everything, because it proved something simple — this wasn’t just an idea anymore. Someone believed in it enough to buy. After that, it didn’t suddenly take off. There were days where nothing happened. Days refreshing the dashboard, checking traffic, tweaking the website, questioning if we’d missed something. That’s the part people don’t see. But we expected it. We’re a brand-new company. No reputation, no big following, no shortcuts. So we did the only thing that makes sense at this stage — we kept going. Posting. Replying. Improving. Fixing what didn’t feel right. Over and over again. We never set out to build just another running challenge. Walk Run Wrestle is different. It’s your run, your way. No pressure, no strict rules, no pretending. And the medals aren’t cheap giveaways. They’re designed to feel like something you’ve actually earned — something worth keeping. That’s always been the standard, and it’s not changing. Looking back at that moment, sitting there pressing that button, we didn’t know how it would go. We just knew we’d finally reached the point we’d been working towards since 2017. From an idea… to something real. And now we’re building from here. Improving the apps. Refining the website. Working on what comes next. Step by step. Most people never get past the idea stage. We did. Now it’s about building something that lasts.
